FAQs

How do I order gates, rails or fences?
For these products, we will come to your site, measure, and provide a quote at no charge. For entrance gates, and large fence and rail orders, we will travel up to 75 miles from Amherst, Virginia. For smaller fence and rail orders, we will travel up to 50 miles. Terms of payment are 50% on order and 50% on completion.
Do iron products rust?
All iron and steel products will rust if left unprotected. All of our products are powder coated, which provides a lasting protection against fading and rusting. However, if the powder coating is chipped or scratched leaving the metal unprotected, rust will occur.
Do you use wrought iron?
We refer to many of our products as "wrought iron," because that is the common commercial term for iron gates, rails, and fences. Strictly speaking, wrought iron is a low-carbon iron that is molded, hammered, stretched, twisted and joined by hand forging. This is a rare product today, and few people could afford it because of the labor and time involved. As our name implies, our skills involve welding and bending mild-steel tubing, bar and plate into finished products.
